AC and other helpful info

July 16th, 2010

Convention is right around the corner! Time to start thinking about packing, celebrating and meeting up with some of your favorite people from around the country.

Here’s some helpful info from the ACL to get you pumped and prepared:

Here are a few reminders about the upcoming MMX NJCL Convention:

The following sections of the NDSU campus are wireless:

Memorial Union
1st floor of all residence halls
Most academic buildings
For other locations: ADULTS ONLY: check with the NJCL registration desk in the Memorial Union-Peace Garden Room

All attendees will be receiving a special NJCL backpack. (Adults will be given a backpack instead of the traditional shoulder bag.)

The following is a list of the residence halls with state delegations:

The following will be provided to you in your residence hall room:

2 sheets, blanket, pillow, pillowcase, mattress pad, 2 towels and a plastic cup. There is no scheduled towel exchange, however the residence hall washers and dryers are available at no cost (bring detergent).

Remember to bring: alarm clock, personal hygiene items (toothbrush, washcloth, shampoo, SOAP, etc.) umbrella or raincoat, mosquito spray, athletic clothes, toga for Day in Old Rome, sunscreen, coat hangers, change for vending machines, small fan. Adults may need a pocket-size calculator for tallying scores in contests.

The alternate dance activity on Thursday July 29th is “Rock Climbing, Basketball, etc.”. NDSU requires socks or tennis shoes if you participate in this event (tennis shoes are preferred).

Of course, this is directed at JCLers, but helpful, nonetheless. We’re checking on AC status for SCL housing and will let you know ASAP!

Sincerely,
